Dr Alexy Karenowska completed her DPhil in experimental magnetic dynamics at Oxford in 2011. Her main research interests are in fundamental and applied aspects of microwave-frequency magnetics. Since 2013 she has held an Engineering and Physical Sciences Research Council Early Career Fellowship in the Sub-Department of Condensed Matter Physics. She is also a Fellow of Magdalen College
Arjan did his MSc on superconducting flux qubits in the Quantum Transport lab in Delft with prof. Mooij, and then a PhD investigating the interactions between distant transmon qubits in an open one-dimensional space in the qudev lab of prof. Wallraff at the ETH Zurich.
Richard did his undergraduate degree at Oxford, where his master's project was on nano-scale measurements of specific heat capacity at low temperatures. Outside of the lab, he spends most of his time standing in the rain and shooting a bow.
Sandoko previously studied Physics at Ecole Polytechnique and National University of Singapore. Prior to joining the Quanum Magnonics Group, he worked on implementing several contemporary quantum optics techniques on cold atom experiments. He hopes to contribute something useful to the research of hybrid spin wave devices!
